2017 World Building of the Year – Shortlist Announced
Nominees for the 2017 World Building of the Year have been announced this month.

The World Architecture Festival takes place each November in Berlin and celebrates the latest and greatest in the world of architecture. The Festival is where the architecture community meets on a world-level to celebrate, learn, exchange and be inspired.

Architectural projects from more than sixty countries made it to the 32-category 2017 World Building Shortlist, including a waterfront cultural center in Portugal, a gigantic American Football stadium, and a plant-covered hotel in Vietnam. The winners are chosen by a “super jury“, including four leaders from different areas of expertise in the architectural field.
Culture Cateogory: AL_A, Museum of Art, Architecture and Technology , Lisbon, Portugal
Only completed buildings are eligible for the coveted ‘World Building of the Year’ title, while conceptual projects may compete to be named ‘Future Project of the Year’. These awards will be judged by a super jury, including MVRDV director Nathalie de Vries, London architect Ian Ritchie and AIA chief executive Robert Ivy.
