This year, Hold It Contemporary Home collaborates with Flavor Del Mar Restaurant & Lounge on a shared vision and unique culinary theme. The extraordinary event will take place at a private aircraft hangar, where designers and chefs have the opportunity to bring their vision to life.

The indie movie scene hits the San Diego Film Festival with big events to convene, converse and celebrate the filmmakers. Each night’s fete is held at one of the Gaslamp Quarter’s hot spots or in the gorgeous setting of La Jolla. These events will have you rubbing shoulders with noteworthy filmmakers, celebrity guests and hip vibrant film lovers.

Would you trade your car for a bike? That’s right, the Tour de Fat will once again be meandering and pandering through 15 U.S. cities spreading the good word about the positive societal offerings of the bicycle. The Bike Parade begins at 11 am from Golden Hill Park on Saturday, September 29th, but be there early to register.

Hip dogs strut their stuff on the runway during this fall fashion show for canines at Muttropolis La Jolla on September 15 from 6 to 9 pm. There will be light refreshments, appetizers for humans, and treats for pooches. The Fall Fashion Show is part of Haute La Jolla Nights, a series of festive, evening events that bring together La Jolla’s world-class arts community with live music and unique shopping experiences.

Coastal Cleanup Day is Saturday, Sept 15th from 9AM – 12noon at 88 cleanup sites countywide. I Love A Clean San Diego will continue its focus on reducing waste at this year’s cleanup by asking volunteers to bring their own reusable cleanup supplies, such as reusable water bottles, gardening gloves, and buckets to collect trash.

Enjoy art, live music, and interactive art activities for families at the 2012 Coronado Art Walk. This admission free, public event designed to foster creativity and appreciation for the wonders of art will be held at the Coronado Ferry Landing on Saturday, September 15 and Sunday, September 16 from 10am-5pm.

A summertime tradition since 1916, the 82^nd La Jolla Rough Water Swim will be held in the beautiful La Jolla Cove on September 9, 2012. Attracting over 2,000 swimmers annually, this multi-race event is America’s premier rough water swim. The triangular courses and the natural arena-like characteristics of the La Jolla Cove offer spectators a great view of the entire event.
