Preview the hottest looks for summer 2013 at the 2nd Annual “Kick off to Summer” Bikini Fashion Show at Roppongi on May 22nd. Hosted by Allison Andrews of Fashion Week San Diego and Music by DJ Who of Sleeping Giant Music. Attendance is free, but limited to the first 150 guests.

The Taste of Cardiff will feature the cuisine of several local restaurants, located throughout the downtown Cardiff village and along Restaurant Row, on nearby Coast Hwy 101. Restaurants will compete for the town’s Golden Fork Award. The event is brought to you by Cardiff 101 MainStreet. Attendees will stroll through downtown to the various restaurants, enjoying the evening.

Fourteen features and 28 short films will be shown during the San Diego Surf Film Festival May 8-12, 2013, which will be held once again at Bird’s Surf Shed in San Diego, a world famous restored quonset hut filled with an impressive collection of historically significant surfboards and artifacts. In its second year, the SDSFF has already become one of the largest and most celebrated festivals of its kind around the globe.

This year’s San Diego Wine Show has something for amateur imbibers and carafe connoisseurs alike. Venture to the world-renowned Del Mar Fairgrounds on April 27th and 28th to sample hundreds of selections from some of the Pacific Coast’s finest wineries, including Freemark Abbey, Orfila Vineyards, Wilson Creek and many more. Food lovers rejoice and for the first year, beer lovers can also partake! Over 40 of the most irresistible restaurants are taking part in the most flavorful event of the season, Taste of Hillcrest on Saturday, April 20, 2013 from noon to 4 p.m.   Once again, the Taste of Hillcrest is a self-guided adventure of culinary cuisines from all over the world including Asian delights, all-American favorites, delicious Italian fare, as well as enjoying micro brew samples at Hillcrest’s favorite merchants.

The line-up for the second annual Adams Avenue Unplugged is set and will feature more than 135 artists performing at 25 venues along Adams Avenue on Saturday, April 27, 12:00 to 10:00 PM, and Sunday, April 28, 12 to 7:00 PM. The free festival will feature performances staged in participating restaurants, bars, coffeehouses and galleries, as well as four community stages along Adams Avenue.

Billed as the premier wine tasting event in Southern California, the VinDiego Wine and Food Festival showcases more than 300 offerings from over 75 California wineries. Also featuring classes with vintners, a silent wine auction, big bottle private tasting parties, vacation packages, VIP winery tours, and other wine related items. All proceeds from the silent auction will go directly to Freedom Station, a nonprofit that helps severely wounded young marines and sailors.
