The annual EarthFair in Balboa Park is the largest free annual environmental fair in the world. Each year, the EarthFair draws around 70,000 visitors.

Produced by 400 volunteers, EarthFair features more than 350 exhibitors, special theme areas, a Food Pavilion, a special Kids’ Activity Area, three entertainment venues, the Children’s Earth Parade, the eARTh Gallery art show, and the Cleaner Car Concourse. Brian Malarkey is shaking up the San Diego seafood scene once again with his newest restaurant Gabardine. The 3rd in a line of restaurants soon to be opening, Gabardine is adding a little Malarkey flair to the Point Loma neighborhood. Specializing in shellfish like oysters, mussles and claims, the James Brennan and Brian Malarkey hotspot is lead by Chef Chad White.  The restaurant is officially open for business, so stop by for a seafood feast!

Shaving heads for a great cause! The 4th Annual St. Baldrick’s Shave-A-Thon is heading to San Diego on March 10. The fundraising event features brave men AND WOMEN going bald to help raise money and awareness for St. Baldrick’s Foundation, which supports childhood cancer research. Hold It Contemporary Home’s very own Mike McAllister will be shaving his head once again this year. So make a donation, come to the event or shave your head and help put an end to childhood cancer!

The 4th Annual St. Baldrick’s Shave-A-Thon is quickly approaching in San Diego. And to help kick start the fundraising, join the St. Baldrick’s Foundation San Diego team on Thursday night for the “Share A Little Love” Shavee sign-up event at Quality Social. From 5:30 until 7:30, have a drink, snack on apps and convince friends and family to sign-up to shave their heads for a great cause. The 4th St. Baldrick’s Shave-A-Thon will be at Quality Social on March 10. Be sure to support a Shavee or sign-up yourself to lose your locks to help fund childhood cancer research.

The San Diego Museum of Art is hosting it First Friday Film night with the Oscar nominated film, “Midnight in Paris”. The event begins tonight at 7pm in the James S Copley Auditorium. The museums Curators will discuss the selection, as well as relevant art, before the showing. For tickets or more information, visit the museum’s website.

Last weekend, San Diego welcomed the Farmer’s Insurance Open PGA Tour to La Jolla. Hold It Contemporary Home was excited to be a part of the fun by providing a lounge for the Punta Brava Pavilion. Punta Brava is a Tiger Woods designed course in Ensenada, Mexico. Punta Brava, along with Macallan invited Hold It to help spice up their space on the 8th green. The views were spectacular, both looking out of the pavilion and looking in. The white vinyl Lola earned a more masculine edge with accents of cowhides, Auskin pillow and rustic bar tables.
