Re-Use Beer Bottles

While Americans enjoy the Independence Day weekend, they’ll be popping open a lot of beer bottles. And rather than just tossing out the bottles, check out theses creative designs and ideas for recycling the beer bottles into something fabulous for your home. We wouldn’t suggest using all of these ideas in one room, but select one for a man-cave or bar area for a fun, unique detail.

Wallcoverings

While wandering through the Dwell on Design exhibition space, I stumbled upon some amazing wallcoverings by Astek Inc. The bright colors and interesting textures first caught my eye, but once I began speaking with the Astek team, the brilliance of these wallcoverings shone through. The Astek team does coverings for TV shows, movies and photo shoots but image what these designs could do in your modern home. Astek recently expanded their team to include graphic artists to create new and interesting designs for walls and also introduced eco-friendly options for coverings. Astek even offers magnetic options for the designs so you can easily swap them out- perfect for kids rooms or retail stores with ever changing tastes.

Mid-Century Modern Home

This stunning Mid-Century modern home was designed by Jessica Helgerson design. The home is like a breath of fresh air with interior foliage bringing a light, airy feel of the great outdoors inside the home. The soft colors of white, green and natural browns make the home feel like a hidden escape deep in the woods, rather than a home within a neighborhood. The large windows also allow sunlight to stream through, again, bringing the outdoors in. Jessica Helgerson is officially on our radar thanks to this stunning design.
