San Diego Restaurant Week Taste 2012
For the first time ever, San Diego Restaurant Week will be having it’s very own kick-off event! #SDRWTaste2012 will be an exclusive first look at what to expect for the coming San Diego Restaurant Week. On Friday, September 14, 2012 from 5:00-9:00 PM at the Broadway Pier in the Port Pavilion, over thirty of San Diego Restaurant Week’s best restaurants will be serving up samples of house specialties that will delight your taste buds!

San Diego Bayfair’s World Series of Powerboat Racing attracts race fans from all over the world. Bayfair is famous for its family festival atmosphere (over 1,000 motorhomers), interactive exhibits, vendors and specialty foods, nightly live entertainment and Saturday night fireworks extravaganza. San Diego Bayfair attracts more powerboat racing classes than any other site in the world, and is known as the hallmark event in the nation.
Korean designer 
These little metal wall hooks from Polish designer Oskar Zieta are made from a process that inflates sheets of steel using high-pressure air. The result is a one-of-a-kind piece that has beautiful surface variations to catch the light. Because minimal material is needed, Zieta’s pieces are much lighter than they appear. Hang bags, coats or simply let them mark the spot on a blank wall.
Designed by Francesco Librizzi Studio, it sits in House C, a 1900s house in Milan that still has many original details. The staircase takes up little space in the small room and leads to a loft-like sleeping area. The black steel against the stark white walls adds a sculptural element to the room with its lines and geometry. What a way to think outside the box when it comes to ladders and staircases!
The U.S. Sand Sculpting Challenge and 3D Art Exposition is open to the public from 9am to 7pm on Labor Day weekend. Watch sculptures being gently carved by master artists from Italy, Portugal, the Netherlands and Canada, as well as California. This San Diego event is sure to amaze and delight the whole family with tons of sand and fun in the sun!
