Architecture trends are constantly changing but most buildings sick around beyond the trends. Except for this hotel in Romanian that will be gone when summer comes around. The Ice Hotel, called Balea Lac, is made completely from ice. The frosty lodge offers guests a fun way to experience ice sculptures. The hotel is rebuilt every year from natural materials and around 10-14 rooms.

The circular and modern design offers a smooth, seamless design for those looking to leave their cars and head to the beach. Currently, Mission Valley is swarming with University of Texas Fans in town for the Holiday Bowl. They will take on University of California tonight, but we decided to feature some of our Texan visitors amazing architecture. This boathouse created Bercy Chen Studio sits on the edges of Lake Austin and transforms the landscape with its circular design. The copper coloring, sloping design and simplistic look offers a perfect place to escape the Southern heat or just take in the view of rolling hills.

London is transforming slowly with the upcoming Summer Olympics and art and culture are also getting a facelift. The London Pleasure Gardens will offer art, music and community for more than 40,000 visitors at a time. The Pontoon Docks are slowly being transformed into an area for this celebration beginning at the start of next summer, where this will host celebrations and art shows throughout the Olympic Games. If you are traveling to London during the Games, stop by the transformed docks for a taste of London culture and art.

The Orange County Museum of Art is celebrating 50 years of exceptional artists, exhibitions and events with an auction of pieces in February. The Museum Action called 50 Years / 50 Artists! on February 11 will feature exactly that, 50 artists to celebrate the last 50 years.
